1688 Auto Parts is an independent buying agent for aftermarket and unbranded automotive parts from China. We help turn a part reference, supplier listing or drawing into a defined purchasing request. The starting point is your exact application; the decision to buy follows a written specification and an itemised quote.

1. Build a request around the vehicle and part
A model name and a photograph can identify candidates, but they rarely settle the variant. Send what you have and identify missing evidence rather than filling gaps with assumptions.
- Full OE reference, suffixes and the catalog or original-part source
- Vehicle model, market, build date, engine, transmission and relevant equipment
- Component photographs, critical dimensions, position and piece, pair or kit quantity
- Order quantity, likely repeat demand, destination country/postcode and required date
2. Compare candidates and negotiate the purchasing terms
We review supplier information and the offered variant against the agreed application. We can negotiate price, order quantity, packaging and other supplier terms; availability and the final agreement remain specific to the order. Compare like-for-like specifications, included accessories and remedy terms, not just listing prices.
An OE cross-reference is a search aid. A seller's interchange list, matching outline or familiar quality label does not establish compatibility, performance or destination approval.
3. Resolve alternatives and drawing-based customization
If you need a more affordable alternative, identify the requirements that must stay unchanged and any differences you can accept. An alternative is not proof of OE equivalence. Approve its fitment and written specification before purchase.
For customization, provide a revision-controlled drawing, material, tolerances, interfaces, quantity and intended use. Supplier feasibility, tooling, samples and any additional verification are agreed case by case. Approve the final drawing and specification; a drawing or dimensional check alone does not establish safety performance.
4. Review the complete quote before approving
The quote should separate goods, China domestic freight, buying service, agreed inspection, packing and international transport. Identify tooling or sample charges where applicable, tax assumptions, destination charges and exclusions. Minimum quantities and pack multiples can change the payable quantity.
Protected carton dimensions, gross weight, contents and delivery postcode influence freight. A calculator is an estimate; use a current accepted route quote for the purchase decision. Sending an inquiry does not authorise an order.
5. Agree inspection, release and delivery
Define photographs, quantities, markings and measurements to be checked before release, together with the response to discrepancies. Visual inspection does not establish durability or regulatory compliance. Required product-specific evidence must be addressed separately.
Compare compatible consolidation with separate shipments. Batteries, pressurised components, fluids and other restricted contents need item-specific screening. Readiness, transport, clearance and final delivery are separate milestones; timing is confirmed for the actual order. Keep the approved specification and packing record for later replenishment.
Questions before you request a quote
- Can I start without a 1688 link?
- Yes. Send the OE reference, vehicle information, drawing or part evidence available. Missing fitment details must be resolved before approving a candidate.
- Can you negotiate a smaller order?
- We can ask the supplier. Minimums, pack multiples, unit prices and sample availability depend on the exact part and offer; a smaller quantity is not assured.
- Does a sample prove that the batch is suitable?
- A sample can support agreed fit or specification checks. It does not establish batch consistency, durability, safety performance or destination compliance by itself.
- When do I approve a customized part?
- After the drawing revision, specification, verification scope and quoted costs are clear. Any later material change needs review before proceeding.
