Cooling system

Cooling parts fail by leaking, and they leak at the joins: the tank-to-core seam on a radiator, the shaft seal on a pump.

Both are inspectable before the part leaves China, which is most of what this category needs.

What we check before you pay

Core construction and row count

Aluminium or copper-brass, how many rows, and how the tanks are joined — crimped with a gasket or welded — decide both cooling capacity and where it will leak.

Pressure test before shipping

A radiator or intercooler can be pressure tested at the factory. We ask for it on sampled units and for the photographs, because a leak found in China costs nothing to resolve.

Water pump seal and bearing

The shaft seal and bearing are the whole service life of a pump. Their brand and rating are worth asking for; the impeller material matters too, and plastic and cast iron are not interchangeable.

Coolant compatibility

Mixed metals and the wrong coolant corrode quickly. Where the part sits in a system with existing components, we confirm the materials rather than assume.

Inlet and outlet positions

Radiators are specified by core size and by where the connections sit. Two radiators with identical core dimensions can be unusable in each other's place.

Packing for thin fins

Radiator fins bend if a carton is stacked wrong, and a bent core is a rejected part. Inner packing is specified before production.

How an order runs

  1. Send the reference and the vehicle An OEM number or photographs showing the core, the tanks and the connection positions.
  2. Construction confirmed Core material, rows, tank joining method and connection positions, agreed with the seller in writing.
  3. Pressure test agreed We arrange for sampled units to be pressure tested and photographed before they leave the factory.
  4. Quote and approval Itemised goods, service, inspection, consolidation and freight, with the packing method stated.
  5. Inspection with the packing opened Fins, seams and connections checked on sampled units, then repacked properly.
  6. Consolidate and ship Bulky and fragile; consolidation and repacking usually move the freight cost more than the route does.
